These terms govern your use of Sproutfolio. By creating an account you agree to them. Sproutfolio is operated as a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. Contact: info@sproutfolio.co.uk.

What Sproutfolio is

Sproutfolio is a tool to help parents and guardians who home-educate keep a private record of their child’s learning and produce a tidy summary they can choose to share. It is a record-keeping aid only.

No guarantee and not legal advice

Sproutfolio does not provide legal advice, and we are not affiliated with any local authority, council, or government body. We do not guarantee any particular outcome with any local authority. Whether a child’s education is judged “suitable” is entirely a decision for the relevant authority. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you record and for how you choose to use it.

Your account

You must give accurate details and keep your password secure. You’re responsible for activity under your account. You must be 18 or over to hold an account, and only add information about children for whom you are the parent or guardian.

Subscription, trial and payment

Sproutfolio costs £2.50 per month. New members get a 7-day free trial; if you don’t cancel during the trial, your subscription begins and your card is charged £2.50, then monthly thereafter. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. A free trial is available once only — returning members subscribe without a further trial.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime from the “You” section. When you cancel, your subscription stays active until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and you won’t be charged again. Payments already made are non-refundable, except where required by law.

Your content

Everything you log remains yours. We don’t claim ownership of it and we don’t share it (see our Privacy Policy). You’re responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important — for example, by saving your reports as PDFs.

Availability

We work to keep Sproutfolio running smoothly but can’t guarantee it will always be available or error-free, and we aren’t liable for any loss arising from the service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

Ending your access

You can stop using Sproutfolio and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; significant changes will be notified in the app or by email. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
